LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania allowed just one goal Saturday, but it was just enough as Denison hung a 1-0 defeat on the 24th ranked Pioneers in non-conference women's soccer action at Hall Field.

Transy is 6-1 on the season while Big Red are 4-2-2. Denison was coming off a 0-0 tie with fifth ranked Otterbein.

Maggie Hosking got her second goal of the season at the 30:47 mark to provide the winning margin for the visitors, who had a 4-3 edge on shots on goal. Shots overall were tied at 8-8.

Kara Hansel (Florence, Ky.) had three saves in goal for Transy. Kristin Tenhundfeld (W. Chester, Ohio) had three shots to key the Transy offense, including one on goal.

Transy is back in action at home on Wednesday, hosting Maryville at 6 p.m. in another non-conference matchup.
