Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Wittenberg scored the game's lone goal in the 12th minute Monday and made it stand up for a 1-0 win over Transylvania in women's college soccer action.

The Pioneers dip to 5-3-1 after the non-conference loss while the Tigers of the North Coast Athletic Conference improve to 5-2-2.

Wittenberg had a 14-7 edge in shots and an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal. Transy led in corners, 4-2.

Transy keeper Jerrica Scovel had 11 saves in the net for the Pioneers. Six different Pioneers were credited with shots, but only Awbrey Wahle had more than one in a game played on a cold, rainy evening.

The Pioneers are back in Heartland Conference action on Wednesday, traveling to Hanover for a 5 p.m. contest.
