HANOVER, Ind. - Transylvania gave up just one goal Wednesday, but it turned out to be enough for Hanover to hang on to a 1-0 Heartland Conference women's soccer win.
The Pioneers are 5-4-1 overall and 1-1 in HCAC play while the Panthers improve to 9-2, 2-0 in conference action.
Jennie Dumaine scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute, scoring from six yards out.
Transy outshot Hanover 12-5, including a 5-4 edge in attempts on goal. The Pioneers also had the advantage in corners, 8-3.
Jerrica Scovel had three saves for the Pioneers.
Reserves
Erin Marek and
Carley Williams combined to take four shots, all on goal, while
Natosha Boden and
Alyssa Kruse also had two attempts apiece.
Transy is back in action on Saturday when it takes on HCAC rival Manchester at 3 p.m. at Hall Field.
