The First Half
Transylvania has made a point to stay fundamental while having effective fun, and it is starting to show. The Pioneers wouldn't take long to summon the same offensive might as last time, scoring the opening goal of the game in the 2nd minute. This goal would be scored by sophomore Tara Pund, earning her first goal of the season, neaking in her shot bottom right putting the Pioneers up 1-0. This goal however wouldn't stand alone for long as Abbey Rowe would take a step back from her constant assist mode, switching gears to score the second goal of the game after receiving the assist from Audrey Rawls, earring her first assist on the season. This game only became more dominant for the Pioneers with a total of 15 shots and corner kick attempts holding Manchester to just 1 shot and 1 corner kick. The third goal of the game would be scored by Maddi Benjamin, assisted by Isabella White in the 13th minute. Isabella White wasn't done there, getting another assist to Abbey Rowe, giving two assists to White, and two goals to Rowe this half alone. Halftime came with the Pioneers ahead 4-0.
The Second Half
The second half was more of the same for Transylvania, continuing to pressure the Manchester defense with an overwhelming attack. The Pioneers would post 9 shots this half and 7 corner attempts while giving the defense a lot of rest. The Pioneers would score twice more this game to keep the Manchester score at a goose egg. Transy scored in the 63rd minute as Isabella White wanted to do both today putting it lower left making the score 5-0. The offense would continue to roll being capped by Maddi Benjamin scoring her second of the day to give the Pioneers a final 6-0 win over Manchester. This is just another game to get right before facing a tough and hostile Hanover environment.
"A road win is always a result to be happy with," Co-Head Coach Marcus Aladaba said. "Leading up to this match we had conceded in three consecutive matches. By that, it is great to also be coming home with a clean sheet"
