LEXINGTON- The Transylvania Women's Tennis team was back in action following their 7-2 victory over Greenville University. Tonight the Pioneers couldn't get it done, losing 4-5 in a close match against Piedmont University. 

The Pioneers swept in doubles led by #1 doubles partners Grace Gardner and Katherine Taylor, the duo won 8-4. In #2 doubles Maria Hayes and Ally Rassenfoss won 8-4, and finalized by #3 doubles duo of Christina Duvall and Maddy Williams winning 8-4 as well.

Singles was a battle as #1 singles Katherine Taylor won in 2 sets 6-2, the 6-1. Sadly after this match the Pioneers weren't able to squeak out the win, with a pinnacle game being decided in #3 singles where Maria Hayes forced a 3 set match.

The Pioneers finish the last day if the Transy Winter Invite facing, Ohio Northern University at 2PM.
