LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania hosted Sewanee in their home opener at Pat Deacon Stadium on Saturday, battling to a 0-0 draw at Harry Stephenson Field. 

Eva Blanke, Isabella White and McKenna Johnson found scoring opportunities, providing three of the five shots for the Pioneers. Gracie Carrigan recorded the other two, one on goal, but was unable to connect. Carrie Stevens recorded consecutive saves against two Sewanee shots late in the 82nd minute, she recorded seven in the match up. The Pioneers held strong defensively down the stretch, defending two Sewanee corner kicks in the final five minutes of action. 

Transylvania returns to action on Wednesday, September 10th, as they travel to Centre College for a 7:00 match up in Danville.
