Kalamazoo responded with two goals to tie the game at 2-2 late in the first half. Welch regained the lead with his second goal, and Campbell added two more. Jaxon Eldridge found the net as well, pushing the lead to four before Charlie Horner scored late in the half to make it 7-3 at the break.

Kalamazoo struck first in the second half, but Campbell answered with his fourth goal to make it 8-4. Jack McKiernan added a long-range score, and the Pioneers extended their lead with back-to-back goals from Campbell and Aven Blair. Welch capped the third quarter with his third goal, giving Transylvania a 12-4 advantage, before adding his fourth in the fourth quarter to secure the 13-5 final.
