Seniors Luke Groene and Eric Sandknop set the stage for a victorious night by prevailing 9-8 in a dramatic No. 1 doubles match against the Lions' Nathan Clark and Guy Watkins. Senior J.T. Henderson and sophomore Edis Sinanovic added to the Pioneers' winning cause by squeezing an 8-6 win against Cody Tallon and Christian Brown to put the Pioneers ahead 2-1 after the doubles round.
With an encouraging lead in hand, the Pioneers sewed up five wins the rest of the way to take a convincing match victory.
