Greg Shewmaker is in his third season with the Transylvania University softball team as a volunteer coach in 2023.
As a part of the Transylvania staff, Shewmaker primarily works with the Pioneers’ outfielders.
In the 2022 season Shewmaker’s contributions helped outfielder Stella Wulker take home HCAC Player of the Year honors along with NFCA All-Region First Team distinction, as the Pioneers went 28-12 overall and 14-2 in conference play.
Shewmaker has coached travel softball since the 2007 season. Currently, he is a coach with the Tennessee Illusions 18U team out of Nashville, Tennessee. He has also served as the head softball coach for Lexington Christian Academy since 2014. Â
In addition to his full slate of coaching responsibilities, Shewmaker is an EVP of Private Banking and Retail Services at Central Bank & Trust Company in Lexington, Kentucky.Â
Shewmaker and his wife Diane have three children, Adam, Isaac, and Elise.
