Transylvania University

Greg Shewmaker joins the Transylvania University softball team for his second season as a volunteer coach in 2021.

As a part of the Transylvania staff, Shewmaker primarily works with the Pioneers’ outfielders.

Shewmaker has coached travel softball since the 2007 season. Currently, he is a coach with the Tennessee Illusions 18U team out of Nashville, Tennessee. He has also served as the head softball coach for Lexington Christian Academy since 2014.  

In addition to his full slate of coaching responsibilities, Shewmaker is an EVP of Private Banking and Retail Services at Central Bank & Trust Company in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Shewmaker and his wife Diane have three children, Adam, Isaac, and Elise.
