Greenwood, Ind. – Transylvania women's tennis junior Kearstin Bruther has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending September 10.

In Saturday's weekend-opening match against Capital, Bruther produced a pair of wins to lead Transylvania to a 7-2 win against Capital. Bruther teamed with sophomore Lucy Herrington to power to an 8-1 win in No. 3 doubles, and followed with a resounding 6-1, 6-0 win in No. 5 singles.
While Transylvania fell 6-3 at Ohio Wesleyan in its Saturday afternoon match, Bruther provided two of the three match victories. Bruther and Herrington again cruised to an 8-4 doubles win before Bruther prevailed in a 6-4, 6-1 singles match. Bruther wrapped up her weekend with an 8-6 doubles victory against Otterbein on Sunday. Coupled with another pair of midweek wins in a dual match at Midway University, Bruther went 7-1 on the week.
