LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania senior forward Holly Milburn (Georgetown, Ky.) has been named Heartland Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week ending Dec. 19.

With Milburn averaging over 21 points, seven rebounds, 1.5 blocks and two steals, the Pioneers defeated Muskingum and lost a tough battle with top-25 team Baldwin-Wallace this weekend in the Transy Holiday Classic.

Milburn is Transy's first women's baksetball player to earn HCAC Player of the Week honors this season.

Milburn, a Georgetown, Ky. native and a graduate of Scott County High School, earned her third double-double of the season in the Pioneer's 80-62 victory over Muskingum on Saturday.  She netted 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  Milburn also had one assist, one block and one steal.

In the Baldwin-Wallace game, Milburn put up a season high 22 points.  She also added three rebounds, two blocks and three steals.

After a week off for winter break, the Pioneers will return to action as they travel to Splading on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. Transy will return to action in the Beck Center on January 12 against HCAC rival Mt. St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m.
