DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre scored the game's first five goals Wednesday and went on to a 24-6 win over visiting Transylvania in women's lacrosse action.
The Pioneers are 3-3 on the season while the Colonels up their mark to 6-5.
After fallling behind 16-3 after the first half of play, Transy played much better over the final period, holding its deficit to 8-3.
Rachel Harrison led Transy with four goals, two in each half.
Sky Spraker added two goals.
Lydia Shaughnessy was credited with six saves in goal fo the Pioneers, who were outshot 53-18 on the game. Transy had 14 turnovers to nine for the Colonels.
Transy is back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Mount St. Joseph for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Lions.
