Port Charlotte, Fla. - The Transylvania women's lacrosse team made it two for two on its spring break slate, overpowering the Becker College Hawks 17 to 2 Wednesday morning at Franz Ross Park.

The Pioneers received hat tricks from sophomore attack Kate Winkelmeyer and freshman attack Hannah Fouts in a day of offensive mastery and defensive suffocation.

Transylvania improved to 5-1 on the season, extending its season-high winning streak to four games.

The Pioneers came out ready to attack, collecting their first of 13 goals in the first half with 25:40 remaining as sophomore midfielder Emma Oliver scored on an unassisted strike.

Following Oliver's score, five different Pioneers got into the mix to raise their lead to 6-0 with more than 21 minutes left in the first half. The Pioneers scored three of their final four first half goals on free position shots, as junior attack Julia Ward, Fouts, and freshman midfielder Brianna McCulley all converted from the radius.

Transylvania scored four more times in the second half on goals from sophomore attack Alexis Rubin, Fouts, Winkelmeyer, and sophomore midfielder Bailee Stevens.

Transylvania sophomore goalie Mackenzie Dent picked up the win to improve her personal record in goal to 5-1 this season, gathering four saves on the day.

The Pioneers converted 17 goals on 40 shots, 33 of which came on goal.

Oliver and freshman defender Harper Zeitz totaled three ground balls apiece while also each tallying five caused turnovers in the defense clinic. McCulley led the Pioneers in draw controls with four.
