In their first HCAC matchup of the 2022-2023 season, the #3 Pioneers defeated the Grizzlies 92-46. The Pioneers came out strong outscoring the Grizzlies 27-4 by the end of the first quarter. Prior to the game, Maddie Kellione was recognized for her 2021-2022 HCAC Athlete of the Year award, which was presented to her by Coach Fulks.

• Kennedi Stacy- 23 points, 4 rebounds in 20 minutes played

• Maddie Kellione- 20 points, 2 steals in 19 minutes played

• Dasia Thornton- 11 rebounds, 12 points in 18 minutes played

• Keaton Hall- 7 rebounds in 13 minutes played

• Team total 52 rebounds

"I thought our team showed great motivation to start strong and immediately have a presence on the court. Our defensive intensity led to several easy opportunities on offense and was a catalyst for our scoring," said Head Coach Dr. Juli Fulks. 

This weekend the Pioneers will travel to Rose-Hulman to face the Fightin' Engineers for their second HCAC matchup of the season. They play in a double feature with Transy Men's Basketball. Their next home game will be December 10th against Bluffton at 4:00 PM.
