Lexington, Ky. - Transylvania juniors Madison Kellione and Kennedi Stacy led the way for the Pios tonight with huge performances in the semifinal matchup against Rose-Hulman, winning 72-50. Kellione scored a game high 28 points, including 6 three-pointers, while Stacy finished with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. 

Transy was a force in the first half, knocking down 8 three-pointers and eventually growing their lead to 22 points. At the half the Pioneers were up on the Engineers 39-21, behind 16 points from Kellione, who shot lights out going 6 for 8 from the field, including 4 for 5 from behind the arc. 

In the third quarter Transylvania continued controlling the tempo of the game. Coming out of the half aggressively, the Pioneers knocked down 6 free-throws in the quarter while they also hit 6 shots from the field. During the quarter, the blazing hot Pioneers grew their lead to 30 points, proving to be their largest lead of the entire game. 

Throughout the contest, it was their electrifying shooting from downtown and their ability to control the boards that secured the win. Transy finished the game knocking down a total of 7 more threes and also out-rebounded Rose-Hulman by 9 boards. Kellione left her mark on the ball game with a massive plus-minus of 32 points to guide the Pioneers to the 22-point win. 

Transylvania's next matchup will be in the HCAC finals against Anderson University, who defeated Bluffton 68-63. This will be the Pioneers' fourth consecutive HCAC tournament finals appearance, as they have their eyes set on another championship crown.
