#3 Transy Women's basketball defeated Anderson (#3 in HCAC standings) 89-63 at home in their first matchup of the season without any lead changes for the game. With the win, Transy is now 8-0 in HCAC play and 16-0 overall.
Prior to the game, senior Dasia Thornton was recognized for surpassing 500 career rebounds as a Pioneer, congratulated by Coach Fulks who has coached her all four seasons she has played. Coach Fulks was also congratulated on her 350th career win by the home crowd after earning the win on the road last week with a 70-40 win over Defiance.

The Pioneers were up 43-37 at the half, but were able to pull away by out-scoring the Ravens 30-12 in the third quarter expanding a lead the Ravens couldn't catch up with. They scored 31 of their points off of turnovers by the Ravens and 10 points coming off the bench.
"It was great to be back in the Beck Center after being road warriors in 2023. Offensively, this was our best performance of the year and we were effective both on the perimeter and in the paint," said Head Coach Dr. Juli Fulks.
The team will be back in Beck next Wednesday for a home game against HCAC #2 Hanover for a 7:00 PM tipoff.
