At Otterbein for a midweek night game, Transy Women's Lacrosse fell short in a close game against the Cardinals. Going into the half tied 2-2 after a heavily defensive first two quarters, the Pioneers were able to come back out and put up four more before a late rally by the Cardinals in the fourth gave them the tiebreaker in the last minute and a half of play. The Pioneers are now 1-1 with the 6-7 final score.
"Tough loss but great fight from the team. Defensively we played an incredible game with strong communication, hustle and grit. This team never gave up and that's all a coach can ask for," said head coach Rachael Bragg.
The Pioneers will be on the road again March 4th at Depauw for their next game.
