DEFIANCE, Ohio - The No. 2 ranked Transylvania Pioneers scored a season high 95 points on 50.7% shooting to defeat Defiance College 95-36 to remain perfect on the season and extend the longest active win streak in the NCAA to 50 games.
The Pioneers had a game high in points (95), field goals made (37), free throw attempts (27), rebounds (55), assists (28), and steals (18). Every single Pioneer scored in the win.
Dasia Thornton led Transy with 13 points.
Emilie Teall finished with 12 points.
Kennedi Stacy finished with 11 points. The Pioneers shot 50.7% (37-73) from the field. The 95 points is the most scored since the December 2nd, 2023 meeting against Defiance (93) this season.
Transy's 50th win tied Amherst College's 50 game win streak set in the 2011-2012 season. They play MSJ this Wednesday at 7 PM with an opportunity to tie Washburn University's 51 game win streak set between 2005-2006.
Transy scored 30 points in the first quarter, and began the game with a 21-0 run, their longest of the season. The Pioneers were 12 of 18 in the first quarter and 7 of 16 in the second quarter to lead 49-10 at halftime. Transy scored 29 points in the third and 17 in the fourth. It is fourth time in the series history that Transy has scored 95 in a game.
The Pioneers are 17-0 all time against Defiance. The win is Head Coach
Juli Fulks' 386th of her career.Â
It is the first time all season every Transy player has scored in the same game.
