LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania closed their regular season with a 20-2 Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) victory on Wednesday, defeating Spalding at Pat Deacon Stadium. The victory secured the seventh consecutive regular season title for the Pioneers. 

Transylvania started with an offensive push, scoring seven goals in the opening quarter. Sofie Garrett scored on an assist from Avery Kirkhope, while Charlotte Green scored just under two minutes later. TaNya Barbee and Garrett scored consecutive goals within twenty seconds of one another to extend the lead to 4-0. In the final three minutes of the first quarter, Diana Bruder scored consecutive goals within 16 seconds, while Green scored a final goal in the quarter to finish the first with a 7-1 lead. 

The second quarter opened with goals from Lula Thompson, Barbee and Garrett in the first five minutes. Garrett would score two additional goals in the first half, followed by another from Kirkhope and a goal from Presley Helton in the final seconds of the first half. Transylvania carried a 14-1 lead into the half. 

Garrett scored another goal in the opening minute of the third quarter, followed by goals from Green, Thompson and Kirkhope in the third. Kirkhope would score a final goal in the final minutes ot the fourth quarter to secure a 20-2 victory.

The Pioneers end the regular season with an overall record of 7-9 and an undefeated 4-0 record in the HCLC.
