Transylvania Volleyball had a weekend to remember at the Transy Invite, sweeping all three matches in three sets each, while
Isabella Myers reached a career milestone of 1,000 kills.

Game One: Transylvania 3, #11 Marietta 0
Transylvania defeated #11 Marietta 3-0 in front of a raucous crowd of fans at the Clive M. Beck Center Friday night, closing night one of the Transy Invite.
Isabella Myers continued her strong offensive play, leading the Pioneers with 19 kills in the victory.
Addie Atcher followed with 10 kills,
Lilly Kaiser recorded eight.
Macy Lentz continued to lead Transylvania in assists with 38.
Julia Brown led the Pioneers with 11 digs, followed by
Kennedy Beatty's 10 and
Isabella Myers with nine.
Transylvania closed the first set with a kill from Atcher, assisted by Lentz, to claim the 26-24 opening set. Myers, assisted by Lentz, recorded a kill to give the Pioneers a 24-20 lead in the second, an attack error closed the second set for the Pioneers, claiming set two 25-20. Transylvania claimed the victory in set three with an attack error and a service error, the Pioneers won set three 25-23, claiming the match win 3-0.

Game Two: Transylvania 3, Pomona-Pitzer 0
The Pioneers opened the second day of the Transy Invite with a 3-0 victory over Pomona-Pitzer.
Isabella Myers led Transylvania with 17 kills, which included her career milestone one thousandth kill. Lentz again led the Pioneers with 29 assists while
Alex O'Connor's seven digs led the category for Transylvania.
The Pioneers claimed set one with consecutive kills from
Lilly Kaiser and
Isabella Myers, both assisted by Lentz, for a 25-19 victory. Trailing 6-3 in the second set, Transylvania rallied to take a commanding 15-6 advantage featuring kills from Kaiser, O'Connor, Atcher and Lentz, as well as three aces from Beatty. They claimed the second set 25-17 following a kill from
Cecelia Roberts, assisted from Lentz. Transylvania found themselves trailing 10-6 in set three before another impressive offensive rally, scoring 12 consecutive points to take an 18-10 lead. A kill from Payton Mast and an attack error closed set three 25-18, winning the match 3-0.

Game Three: Transylvania 3, Muskingum 0
Â
Transylvania defeated Muskingum in the final game of the Transy Invite 3-0.
Lilly Kaiser led the Pioneers with 14 kills, followed by 10 from Myers and nine from Atcher. Lentz continued to find scoring opportunities for the Pioneers, leading the match with 34 assists.
Isabella Myers recorded 16 digs, followed by 13 from Beatty and 10 from Lentz.
After a competitive opening set victory, 25-23, Transylvania claimed the second set 25-13. Consecutive kills from Lentz and Atcher, and an ace from Beatty closed set two. An ace from Lentz gave the Pioneers a 10-9 advantage in set three, before Transylvania rallied another impressive offensive stretch, going on a 10-0 run to take a 20-9 lead. A kill from
Addison Jarvis closed the set 25-15, earning the 3-0 match win for the Pioneers.
"This weekend was unforgettable," said Head Coach Amy Barmore. "With Izzy reaching a personal milestone it is special, but doing it while helping the team win three crucial matches makes it even better. Izzy is truly such a selfless player and has worked extremely hard to reach this milestone. I am so proud of the fight we showed, and I am grateful how they did this together. We are growing each and every day and this weekend was full of motivation, passion and drive."
Transylvania (11-4) returns to action on Friday, September 26
th, traveling to Otterbein for a 4:30 p.m. match up.
