LEXINGTON, KY. — Transylvania celebrated Senior Day with a dominant 80–53 win over Bluffton in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action at the Clive M. Beck Center.
The Pioneers placed three players in double figures, led by Sierra Kemelgor's 17 points. Mayka Grinter added 11 points, four steals, and three assists, while Riley Flinn contributed 11 points and four rebounds.
After falling behind 7–6 midway through the first quarter, Transylvania responded with threes from Kemelgor and Raegan Barrett to tie the game at 13. Kemelgor then finished a three-point play to send the Pioneers into the second quarter with a 16–13 advantage. Transylvania stretched the margin before halftime as Flinn and Mackenzie Lombardi knocked down back-to-back threes, and a late Keaton Hall layup secured a 43–29 halftime lead.
The Pioneers opened the third quarter on a 10–2 run behind six quick points from Grinter, pushing the lead to 53–35. Transylvania continued to control the pace, outscoring Bluffton 26–16 in the third to take a 24-point advantage into the fourth. The Pioneers allowed just eight points in the final quarter to secure the 27-point victory and improve to 18–4 overall and 13–2 in HCAC play.
