West Palm Beach, Fla. – Jeb Brumley turned in a three-round score of 238 to lead the Transylvania men's golf team in their foray at the 2019 D-III Fall Preview tournament at PGA National on Sunday afternoon.
Brumley carded an 84 in the third and final round at the PGA National Champions Course to round out his time at the site of next spring's NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships. Brumley's finish slotted the senior for a share of 61st place on the individual leaderboard.
Harrison Lane finished two strokes back of Brumley for the weekend after carding an 83 on Sunday. Lane finished his round with eight pars to one birdie.
Michael Collins shot a three-round 244 while Spencer McKinney recorded a three-round 250. Tim Alexander recorded his best round of the weekend with an 83 to turn in a three-round score of 261. Alexander led the Pioneers on Sunday with 10 pars.
The Pioneers recorded a 17th-place team finish as they observed what they hope will be their initial look at the national championship course; Transylvania is bidding for what would be its 14th-consecutive appearance at the NCAA National Championships.
Transylvania returns to the links on Sunday, September 22 for the two-round Rhodes College Invitational at Tunica National in Tunica, Mississippi and runs through Monday, September 23.
