Lexington, Ky. – The Transylvania women's swimming and diving team was one of the nationwide leaders in GPA for the Fall 2018 semester as the College Swimming Coaches Association of America released its Fall Scholar All-America teams on Tuesday.
The Pioneers women's swimming and diving team were part of a record 713 teams across all NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA divisions chosen to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2018 semester.
Criteria for selection onto the Fall Scholar All-America teams requires a team to post a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester while maintaining a minimum roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
Transylvania's team GPA for the Fall 2018 semester was a 3.59, one of the 20 highest GPA's among Division III teams.
The Pioneers continue their swimming and diving schedule this week as they face Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference member Anderson University on Saturday, January 26 at 1:00 p.m. in Anderson, Indiana.
