For the men, Cumberlands won with 176 points while Centre was second at 168.5. Next came Lindsey Wilson at 136.5, Kentucky State at 96, and Campbellsville at 71. Transy's men had five points to outdistance Fisk and Georgetown.
For the women, Campbellsville won with 186.5 points and Centre was second with 152.5. Kentucky State was third with 126.5 points, followed by Cumberlands at 64 and Berea at 61. Transy's women had 11 points to finish ahead of Midway.
Highlights for Transy included a school record performance by Laura Clark in the 3000 steeplechase. She bested the old mark by two seconds with a time of 13:05. She was fourth overall.
Mason Williams was 12th inthe 400-meter dash, Shelby Auxier was fourth in the 100-meter dash, Elizabeth Hardt was eight in the 400-meter hurdles, and Ben Hoseus was sixth in the 200-meter dash.
Transy returns to action on Saturday when the Pioneers compete in the Cumberlands Invitational.
