HANOVER, Ind. –The Transylvania University women's golf club finished fifth in the 2014 Hanover College Fall Invitational Sunday.
The first round of the event was held at Sunrise Fall Golf Course in Madison, Ind., while Sunday's final round was played at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour, Ind.
Senior Jerra Kelsey finished 22nd overall with a two round total of 174 to lead the Pioneers. Transylvania posted a team round of 359 the first day of play and was able to erase four strokes in Sunday's round.
Preseason Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference favorite and host, Hanover College, earned the title with a team total of 644.
"We continue to improve every time we tee it up," head coach Keilly Purdom said. "We will continue to make positive steps in preparation for October."
The Pioneers travel to DePauw Sept. 20 for the DePauw Invitational.
