LEXINGTON, Ky.-The Transylvania University women's golf team shot a team total 377 en route to posting a fourth place finish at the 2015 Transylvania Intercollegiate. The Pioneers finished 43 strokes back from Hanover College, who shot a 333 as a team to take the team title.
Transy competed alongside Hanover, Midway College, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Thomas More College and Spalding University on the Wildcat Course at the University Club of Kentucky, a 5,808-yard, par-71 course.
Erika Shepherd of Hanover College took the individual title, knocking back a round of 77 as the low scorer on the day.
For Transylvania, Jenna Soderling posted the best score of the day, shooting an 89 to finish in a tie for 11th place as an individual. She was followed closely by Jill Graeter's 93, Kim Kasama's 95 and a 100 from Lindsay Bloom.
The Pioneers return to action tomorrow in the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky.
