MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Transylvania University's women's golf team posted a second round total of 330 on Monday, a 19-stroke improvement from yesterday's first round to finish in fourth place at the Rhodes Collegiate Classic.
The event was played at The Links at Galloway, a 6,013 yard, par-70 links style course.
Jenna Soderling turned in the low round of the day for the Pioneers, shooting an 80, six strokes better than her Sunday round. Kim Kasama added an 81 and Keely Goff posted a round of 82 on Monday. Lindsay Bloom contributed an 87 and Jill Graeter made an eight stroke jump from her Sunday round to shoot a 94 on the day.
Kasama's score gave her a two-round total of 161, good for 15th place and Soderling's 166 over two days gave the Pioneers their second top-20 finisher in the tournament.
Transylvania returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 26 in the Rose-Hulman Invitational, their final tune-up event before the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship on October 10.
