ROME, Ga.—After impending weather delayed the season opener for the Transylvania University women's lacrosse team, the Pioneers opened their season against Berry College Saturday at Ford Field.
Junior midfielders Jessica Bier and Rachel Harrison both logged goals for the Pioneers in the loss. Bier connected on a free position shot for the first goal of the season for Transylvania. Later in the second half, Harrison found the net following a Transylvania miss for the second goal of the day.
The Vikings, already with four games under their belt this season, got on the board at the 24:55 mark in the first half on their way to the win.
