Laura Morris begins her second year on the Women's Basketball coaching staff as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. Morris is graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Adult Fitness. While in Richmond, Morris was a varsity student athlete with the Lady Colonels.Â
Laura began officiating NCAA Division I Women's Basketball in 1997 working conferences that include: SEC, BIG10, BIG12, Conference USA, MVC, Sunbelt, and OVC. In 2001, Laura was hired as an official for the WNBA were she officiated for nine years. During her officiating career, she worked several NCAA First, Second, and Regional rounds; as well as Final Fours. Morris retired in 2021 as one of the top women's basketball officials in the country.Â
