It was the first outdoor track and field meet for the Pioneers of the season.
Among the highlights for the men: Mason Williams was 18th in the 200 meter dash, one spot ahead of teammate Ben Hoseus; Williams was 12th in the 400 meter run while Hoseus was 15th. Akin Erol was 20th in the 100 meter.
Cincinnati won the men's competition with 171 points, followed by Spring Arbor with 89 and Cedarville with 75. Transy had six points to edge Dayton in the 13-team meet that featured NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA schools.
For the women, Cincinnati won with 145 points, topping Wright State (92) and Bowling Green (79). The women's meet had 12 teams including the Pioneers.
Transy highlights included Elizabeth Hardt's 28th-place finish in the 800 meter run, and Shelby Auxier finishing 23rd in the 200 meter dash and 20th in the 100 meter dash.
The Pioneers are back in action on Friday when they return to Cincinnati to compete in the Mt. St. Joseph Invitational.
