Ashley Higginbotham enters her third year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Transylvania University for the 2023-2024 season, primarily covering women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, track and field, softball, cheer and dance and eventing.
Higginbotham joins Transylvania from Northern Kentucky University where she was a certified Athletic Training Intern, providing sport medicine coverage for softball. Prior to her time at Northern Kentucky, Higginbotham served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Bluffton University from 2018 to 2020, during which she completed her master's degree in Business Administration. In her role at Bluffton, Higginbotham provided sports medicine coverage for the university’s football and baseball teams. Higginbotham graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.
