Justin Taylor

Justin Taylor enters his second year as an assistant coach at Transylvania. Prior to attending Georgetown, Taylor was a standout player at Tates Creek High School.  Taylor is the second all-time leading scorer, while twice an all-state selection, a three time all-city, a 2004 all 11th region and 43rd district MVP and McDonalds All-American nominee. After high school, Taylor attended college at Tennessee Tech University before transferring to Georgetown College. In his two years at Georgetown, he won two conference titles and an undefeated regular season his senior year. In that same season, Georgetown finished No. 1 in the national poll and made it to the final four at the national tournament coming short with their only loss, ending his college career 35-1 in his final season.

Prior to joining the Transylvania staff, Taylor played professionally overseas in Portugal, Canada and in two world tournaments in Beijing, China. While playing in the world tournaments, he played alongside Paul Pierce and Michael Beasley. In his professional career Taylor earned all-star awards and newcomer of the year awards in several leagues including the ABA, CBL and CBA.

Taylor, is a 2008 Georgetown College graduate with a bachelor's degree in digital media.
