After five runs in the first two innings, the Colonels added another run in the home half of the third with an RBI single from Madison DeBord. The Pioneers were held scoreless in the fourth, but tallied three more runs in the fifth.
Frees walked to start the inning for the Pioneers, before Madison Dorsey drove one over the fence to close the Centre lead to 7-4. Two batters later, Disser homered to give the Pioneers their fifth run, before the big seventh inning to notch the win.
The Colonels were able to hold off a seventh-inning Pioneer rally for a 4-3 win in game one. Centre plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. A sacrifice from Alisha Russell scored Ellen Stephens to extend the Centre lead to 3-0 after two runs scored on a defensive error.
The Pioneers answered in the top of the seventh as a two-run blast from Elizabeth Young pulled Transy within one, 3-2. Jamie Lutes drew a base on balls to put the tying run on base for the Pioneers as Disser reached thanks to a Centre error.
With two on, Lindsey Barton pinch ran for Disser and swiped second base putting two runners in scoring position with no outs. After an infield pop out gave the Colonels the first out of the inning, before a sacrifice from Madison Dorsey scored Mathews tying the game at three and moving Barton to third. The Pioneers could not take the lead and a walk-off homer from Jessika Young lifted the Colonels to a 4-3 win.
Katie Hulsman picked up the win in game two on 5 2/3 innings and four strikeouts.
