Seven Pioneers Selected to HCAC All-Conference Teams

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has recognized 7 Transylvania Pioneer's for their tremendous efforts this season on the field. 3 Pioneers were named to the All-Conference First Team, 3 Pioneers were named to the All-Conference Second Team, and 1 was named to the All-Conferenec Third Team. 

Isabella White, Abby Dean, and Lilia Steen were all three named to the All-Conference First Team. White had an outstanding season on the offense for the Pioneers with 6 goals, and 3 assists totaling 15 points. Abby Dean continued to show leadership and determination in the midfield throughout the season; Dean finished the year with 1 goal. Lilia Steen proved to be a solid defender, while also being involved in the Pioneer offense. Steen finished the season with 3 goals with 4 assists totaling 10 points. 

Maddi Benjamin, Mckenna Johnson, and Caitlin Fike rounded out the recognition for the Pioneers, being named to the All-Conference Second Team. Forward Maddi Benjamin executed for the Pioneers on the offensive side all season; Benjamin finished the season with 8 goals, two assists totaling 18 points. Benjamin also ended the season with a 82.4% shot on goal percentage. Freshman, Mckenna Johnson added a spark to the Transylvania midfield. Johnson finished the season with 4 goals with 3 assists totaling 11 points. Johnson's shot on goal percentage is the highest on the team with a total of 91.7%. Caitlin Fike held down the Pioneer defense, and showed tremendous leadership from the back line. Fike kept the Pioneers fighting and ready for any attack. Fike finished the season on the offensive side with 1 assist and 2 shots. 

Transylvania Goalie, Carrie Stevens, earns a spot on the All-Conference Third Team. Stevens held the Pioneers in many games and continued to be a wall for opposing attacks. Stevens made numerous breathtaking saves, and finished the season with 86 saves allowing only 18 goals.
