WINTER HAVEN, FL - Transylvania finished 2-0 in their third day of action in Winter Haven, defeating Lasell and Lakeland after a delayed start from weather conditions.Â
Game 1: Transylvania 2, Lasell 1
Transylvania got on the board early, scoring both of their runs in the first inning.
Dakota Burke doubled on a line drive to left field, allowing
Ella Steczynski to score the first run for Transylvania.
Maddie Goddard singled on a ground ball to left field allowing Burke to score the second run. The Pioneers would give up their only run in the second inning, with both teams remaining scoreless through the remainder of the game.Â
Burke led the Pioneers with two hits.

Ry'Ann Tharp and
Taylor Ingram all had hits in the victory.
Trinity Bridges pitched two innings for the Pioneers, giving up one hit and one run, only walking two batters.
Natalie Contreras pitched five innings, giving up no runs and one hit, striking out five batters in the process.Â
Transylvania returns to action for the final day in Winter Haven on Tuesday with match ups against Belhaven and Bowdoin.Â
