BEREA, KY - Transylvania picked up two victories at Berea in a double header Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) match up on Tuesday.

Game One: Transylvania 8, Berea 0

Transylvania's offense was on full display early as the Pioneers scored three runs in the first inning. Dakota Burke scored on an RBI from Reagan Rouleau, Rouleau would then score following an RBI from Avery Parsons and Ella Steczynski scored on a wild pitch. In the third, Steczynski scored again after Young flew out to right field. Taylor Ingram hit a home run to right field in the fourth inning. In the fifth, Transylvania would score three runs to help secure an 8-0 victory. Jordan Fico doubled to left field driving in Parsons and Steczynski while Shearer doubled to left field driving Fico home for the final run of the afternoon.

Reagan Gibson secured the victory at the mound, pitching four innings and only allowing three hits, striking out two batters.

Game Two: Transylvania 7, Berea 3

Transylvania would score three runs in the second inning as Tharp doubled to center field earning two RBI's on runs from Ingram and Shearer. Parsons would then single to right field sending Tharp in for the third run of the inning. Fico scored in the third after an RBI from Shearer, but Berea would score three runs in the bottom of the third to cut the deficit to one run. The Pioneers would respond, scoring three runs in the top of the fourths Tharp, Rousseau and Steczynski all earned runs to secure a 7-3 victory as the game would be called at the end of the fifth due to weather conditions in the area.
