LEXINGTON, KY -Â Transylvania defeated Franklin in the opening round of the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament on Wednesday, defeating the Grizzlies 2-1 at John and Donna Hall Field.

Reagan Rouleau home to retake the lead for Transylvania, 2-1.
The Pioneers would close the game defensively in the top of the seventh for the opening round victory.
Raegan Gibson earned the victory at the mound, pitching all seven innings and only allowing six hits and one run, striking out one batter in the victory.Â
Transylvania will advance to play Friday at John and Donna Hall Field as the 2025 HCAC Tournament continues.
