LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania claimed another victory in the 2025 HCAC Tournament, defeating Mount St. Joseph 3-1 on Friday.Â
Transylvania scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning, as

Ella Steczynski. After holding the Lions scoreless in the top of the fifth, Tharp would single to center field, advancing on the throw to second, earning an RBI as Shearer scored. Parsons would single to center field, earning an RBI as Tharp scored. Transylvania led 3-0 at the top of the sixth.
In the seventh, MSJ would score a run via a single to right field from Miller, but Transylvania's pitching and defense would stand strong in the seventh, securing a 3-1 victory.Â
Raegan Gibson pitched six innings, only giving up four hits, one run and one error.Â
Transylvania returns to John and Donna Hall Field on Saturday for an opportunity to claim the 2025 HCAC Championship, as they take on the winner of Saturday's opening game between Franklin and Mount St. Joseph, at 3:00 p.m.
