    HANOVER, Ind. - Transylvania allowed Hanover to score a pair of two-out runs in the eighth inning Wednesday and the Panthers took an 8-6 decision in Heartland Conference baseball action.
The Pioneers are 21-9, 12-6 in HCAC play, while the Panthers are 15-20, 10-11 in the conference. Transy entered play in second place, one game behind Manchester in the HCAC standings.
Hanover jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third only to see the Pioneers rally for three runs in the fourth for a 3-1 advantage. 
Johnny Renz (Milford, Ohio) and 
Kevin Brinkman (Louisville, Ky.) had sacrifice flies in the frame and 
Ryan Troehler (Loveland, Ohio) scored the final run with a single. 
Hanover put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth for a 6-3 advantage only to see Transy rally again in the top of the fifth, tying the score by taking advantage of three Panther errors to score three unearned runs.
Ben Kuebbing (Burlington, Ky.) had three of Transy's 10 hits, scoring twice and driving home a run. 
Drew Zuckerman (Lexington, Ky.) added a double while 
Ken Riley (Lexington, Ky.) added a pair of hits.
Jordan Beseckeer (Mason, Ohio) started the game on the mound for Transy, pitching into the fourth and allowing six runs. 
Chris  Bloch (Louisville, Ky.), Kuebbing, and 
Danny  Niehaus (Villa Hills, Ky.) followed him to the mound with Kuebbing getting the loss.
Transy wraps up regular season play with a weekend series at Franklin. The two teams meet in a noon doubleheader on Saturday, then square off in a single game on Sunday at noon.
