RICHMOND, Ind- The Transylvania Men's Soccer team moved to 4-6-4 on the season and 3-3-1 in HCAC play after this afternoon's 2-1 win over the Earlham College Quakers. 

The win moves Transy to 7-2 all time vs Earlham. The win is the fifth consecutive over the Quakers. This game would be a much needed win to help their HCAC playoff aspirations as the Pioneers sit in fifth place with only two regular season games left. 

Two minutes into the game the Pioneers scored the first goal as junior Henry Roetker scored low center left. It was his third of the season.

Transy went up 2-0 in the 42nd minute as McKay Wheatley would put a shot low past the goalkeeper. This goal would be his second of his career, scoring his second in three games.

The Quakers would ruin the shutout with a goal with just under nine minutes to play. It was the first goal Transy has given up since October 4th.

Nolan Yantz continued to shine in the net, earning his third win in four games.

Up next for the Pioneers is a road match against Defiance College in Ohio this Saturday at 3 PM. The Pioneers are picking up much needed points at a crucial time as they have just two games left to play in the regular season.

"Always good to get 3 points on the road," Head Coach Ben Federici said. "I thought we could have been cleaner in the final 15 minutes, but I am happy with the momentum we continue to build."
