On the road at BSC for their home opener, Transy Women's Lacrosse earned a 20-13 win over the Panthers. Voted preseason number one in the HCLC, the Pioneers started the season strong with seven different scorers for their 20 goals including three hat tricks by Peterson, Bruder, and Dawson. After going into halftime tied 11-11, the Pioneers came back out on fire to go up two in the third quarter and then adding five in the fourth quarter, holding the Panthers to just two goals in the entire second half. 

• Abbey Peterson- 6 goals (hat trick) on 8 shots, 8 ground balls

• Diana Bruder- 5 goals (hat trick), 3 assists, 3 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers, 9 draw controls

• Charlotte Green- 1 goal, 8 draw controls

• Linley Dawson- 3 goals (hat trick), 6 ground balls

• Mandi Rider- 2 goals, 1 assist

• Vianne Koshoffer- 1 goal, 4 assists

• Sophia Sparks- 2 goals, 5 ground balls

• Abi Waldron- 10 saves

Coach Bragg said of the season opener, "This was a team win, both ends of the field worked hard and trusted each other. This was a great start for the season!" 

The Pioneers will stay on the road for their next game on Wednesday at Otterbein at 7:00 PM.
