On a sunny Sunday afternoon at Pat Deacon Stadium, Transy Women's Lacrosse faced Ohio Wesleyan for a tough non-conference game, coming up just short of the comeback with a 12-14 final.

In the first quarter, the Pioneers put two on the board from senior Sophia Sparks (assisted by Charlotte Green) and another from sophomore Diana Bruder. A slew of OWU goals separated the two from their next goal from Abbey Peterson in the second quarter as the Pioneers entered the half down 9-3.
Though the Pioneers were down six after the first two quarters, they came back with a vengeance after the half, the team put up seven goals on Ohio Wesleyan from sophomore Lula Thompson, Abbey Peterson (two in 3Q), Diana Bruder, Sophia Sparks (assisted by Mandi Rider), Charlotte Green (two in 3Q), and Mandi Rider (assisted by Vianne Koshoffer).
For the final quarter of the game, the Pioneers kept fighting going goal for goal with the Bishops, each earning two, including Diana Bruder's third of the day and Lula Thompson's second (assisted by Vianne Koshoffer).
"Even though we lost, this was a great game for our program. This team showed a lot of heart and willingness to fight to stay in the game. I'm extremely proud of all their hard work, tenacity, and hustle," said Coach Bragg.
The Pioneers will celebrate Senior Day on April 1st prior to their game against Wittenberg at 1:00 PM.
