HOT HOT HOT
After a 1-2 start to the season, Transylvania is on a 9 game win streak and has had their best start to begin the season (10-2) since the 2010-2011 season when they began 9-2. The Pioneers' 9 game win streak is the longest since their 7 game win streak from November 23rd, 2010 - January 2nd, 2011. Transy has outscored opponents 91.3 to 71.8 during the win streak.

DON LANE CLASSIC CHAMPS
Transylvania defeated DePauw 88-79 and Baldwin Wallace 87-74 to win the Don Lane Classic. Jaylan Green tied a season high 27 points in the win over DePauw as he led Transy to their third straight win over the Tigers to advance to the Don Lane Classic Championship. Green then broke his previous season high of 27 points and scored 30 in the championship win over Badlwin Wallace. The Pioneers outscored the Yellow Jackets 51-22 in the second half after being down 36-42. 

Colby Napier was named to the All-Tournament Team. Jaylan Green was named tournament MVP. For his performances, Green was named HCAC Player of the Week. 

LAST TIME OUT
Transylvania defeated Earlham College on the road 80-57 behind Jaylan Green's 19 point performance and a season high 15 points from Hunter Barr. Matthew Teague earned his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

It was Head Coach Brian Lane's 361st win of his career.

LOOKING AT THE RAVENS
Voted 1st in the HCAC Preseason Coaches Poll, Anderson currently sits at 3rd in the HCAC standings behind Manchester (6-2, 4-1 HCAC) and Transylvania (10-2, 5-0 HCAC). The Ravens only conference loss came on the road at Franklin, 70-77.

Anderson has four players averaging 10+ points per game, and are led by Tate Ivanyo who averages 16 points per game.

The Ravens have the third best scoring offense in the HCAC and second best scoring defense. Elijah Mattingly leads the HCAC in rebounds, averaging 10.1 per contest while averaging 2.5 blocks per contest.


THE LANE WAY
Head Coach Brian Lane '90 enters his 23rd season. Lane first started with the Pioneers in the 1990 season when he was an assistant under his father, the legendary Don Lane. He then coached as an assistant for UNC-Charlotte, South Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida Atlantic, and Morehead State before being named Head Coach of Transylvania in 2001.

Since 2001, Lane has led the Pioneers to six NCAA Tournament appearances in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2020. He was named a Glenn Robinson National Coach of the Year Finalist in 2011-2012 and has earned Regional Coach of the Year honors in 2005-2006. 

Lane has been named HCAC Coach of the Year on four separate occasions, earning the honors in 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2012. He has 353 wins as head coach, earning his 350th last season versus Mount St. Joseph (FULL RECAP) and his 361 wins are second most all time, trailing his legendary father Don Lane who has 509 career wins. 
During his playing career at Transylvania (1986-1990), Lane scored 1,286 points which ranks 30th all time in program history.


 TRANSY STATS N' STREAKS

• Transylvania has reached the HCAC postseason tournament in nine straight seasons, last winning the tournament during the 2019-20 season.
• The Pioneers have not recorded a losing season since the 2015-2016 season (the 2020-21 season was shortened due to Covid)
• Transy ranked third in the HCAC last season in scoring, averaging 75.6 points per game. 
• Transy ranks second in the HCAC in scoring and first in team FG percentage and combined team rebounds
• Jaylan Green has reached double figures in every game this season.
• Zach Stahlman scored a season high 18 points and was perfect from the floor in the win over Berea College
• Transy is 28-19 all time against Anderson
