LEXINGTON, KY - The Pioneers went head to head against Marian University on Saturday at home in another NCAC matchup. After a few strong showings, this was a highly anticipated match.

The following minute, Libby Bringard would make another big stop to keep the Pioneers down one goal. The Pioneer defense stood tall in the remaining minutes, blocking a shot and forcing two penalty corners.

The third period started with yet another penalty corner for Transylvania. Minutes later, Marian scored their second goal of the match. Pioneer goalie, Libby Bringard, would have four saves in the third period. Marian scored their third goal second before the 40th minute mark. The final seconds would include a penalty corner for the Pioneers, and a shot by Sophia Sparks being blocked by Marian goalie.

A penalty corner and shot by Transylvania's Maddy Morgan would begin the fourth period. The Pioneers found their first goal of the match in the 52nd minute. Evelyn Bingham scored her first career goal to put the Pioneers down just two goals. Libby would make her final save five minutes left in the match.

Transylvania's Head Coach Natalie Hernandez stated this post game. "Although today was not the outcome we wanted, we had some great things happen throughout the game.
