LEXINGTON, KY – Transyvlania University is advancing to the semi-finals of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament, after defeating Bluffton 5-1 at Pat Deacon Stadium on Saturday.

The Pioneer offense clicked early, with
Gus Dickman and
Dylan Barnes scoring in the opening five minutes of the match. Bluffton would respond with a goal from Jackson Clark as the first half came to an end. In the second half, Transy would find another quick start.
Dylan Barnes would find his second goal of the afternoon at the 50:13 mark, with
Cole Varela scoring for the Pioneers just two minutes later.
Josh Carr would find the net at 9:28, securing a 5-1 victory for the Pioneers.Â
Head Coach Ben Federici was proud of his team's performance and quick offensive start.Â
"Quality win and a good performance from the whole team today," said Federici. "We will enjoy this for tonight, but our focus shifts quickly to the semis. Scoring twice in the first six minutes of the match shows how hungry this team is. We're excited to get back to work."

Transylvania will advance to take on Hanover on Tuesday, November 5
th at 2 p.m.
