LEXINGTON - The Transylvania University baseball team dropped the final game of the series against Westminster College on Sunday afternoon in extra innings.
The Blue Jays scored nine runs in the final four innings, with three being in the ninth to tie the game and take the lead.
The Pioneers held Westminster scoreless through six innings, as starting pitcher
Jacob Moberly went five innings, giving up just two hits while striking out seven batters.

Transy took a 2-0 lead in the third inning after a sacrifice fly by
Calvin Schubert and an RBI single by
Henry Mitcham. TU added to their lead with a three run fifth inning.
Trent Youngblood's record tying RBI triple extended the lead to 3-0. Youngblood now has 11 career triples, tying the all time program record. In this series Youngblood eclipsed the 200 hit milestone, He finished the game 3-5 and a home run short of the cycle. Youngblood also tied the all time steals record at Transy with his 61st career steal.Â
Mitcham's second hit of the game brought in Youngblood to make it 4-0 Pioneers, and later in the inning a wild pitch would score
Austin Taylor to extend the Pioneer lead to five runs.

Westminster scored three runs in the seventh, and three more in the ninth to take their first lead in the series.
Down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth with a runner on base,
Riley Hill tied the game with a base hit up the middle, scoring pinch runner
Warren Wilson.
After a leadoff single to open the top half of the tenth, back to back errors would lose the bases for the Blue Jays. A walk would give WC the lead, then an RBI single to centerfield and RBI groundout put the Blue Jays up three runs.
Calvin Schubert led off the bottom half of the tenth with a walk, but the next three batters would be retired.
Youngblood led the Pioneers in hits with three.
Henry Mitcham led with two RBI's.
