LEXINGTON, KY - This Saturday, March 23rd, the Pioneers kicked off the outdoor season with their home meet, the
Pioneer Invite. The team had a range of performances across the board but overall started off the
season on the right foot. Some performances to highlight include:
Nate Very set a new school record in the 5000m, running a time of 15:31.33.
Abbey Rowe ran a PB over 100m with a time of 13.30, and placed first overall in the
200m with a time of 27.17.
Maddox Marks threw a PB of 43.91m in Javelin, placing first overall.
Peyton Tan won her heat over 200m, running a PB of 28.23.
The women's distance team had a great performance in the 5000m, all 4 girls setting PB's
with
Emilie Gaudron running 19:54.97,
Ellie Thornsbury running 20:11.29, Libby
Perkins running 20:25.89, and Maggie Simmons running 20:43.24.
Moving forward with the outdoor season, you can keep up with the Pioneers as they travel to
Indiana for the Hanover Invitational on Saturday, March 29th.Â
