LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania Men's Lacrosse were outlasted by Albion on Thursday at Pat Deacon Stadium, 12-4.
Albion ended the first quarter with a 7-0 lead after scoring in the opening seconds of the evening, the Pioneers would hold Albion scoreless in the second and fourth quarters, but could not find battle back offensively to rally.Â
Alex Madson and
Josh Harney scored for Transylvania in the second quarter, while
Charlie Horner and
Samuel Archer scored in the fourth.
Nick DeGrandi recorded seven saves for the Pioneers. Transylvania had four Pioneers each record three ground balls -
Huck Campbell,
Briggs Beck,
Ben Marcum and
Jack Miller. In the 46 shots for the Pioneers were led by nine from
Huck Campbell and eight each from
Kade Kruger and
Alex Madson.Â
"Every game provides an opportunity to learn and grow," said Head Coach
Logan Otto post game. "I fully believe that tonight provided some opportunities for us to see where we need to improve. Albion is a great program and they took it to us tonight."
Transylvania will return to action on Wednesday, March 12th, as they travel to Danville for a match up with Centre College at 7:00 p.m.
