Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. - Transylvania broke a scoreless tie with two goals in the last 10 minutes Tuesday to take a 2-0 win over Asbury  in non-conference men's soccer action at Thomas Field.

The Pioneers are 5-4-2 while the Eagles are 7-2-2.

In a hotly contested match that stayed scoreless until the 80:32 mark, the Pioneers finally got the upper hand when Tony Spero (Lexington, KY, Dunbar) scored on a break-away, shooting into the lower left corner.

Less than seven minutes later, Peter Mikhail (Park Hills, Ky., Covington Catholic)added an insurance score when he shot from just inside the 18 and again found the lower left corner. It was Mikhail's fourth goal of the year.
Alex Schmitt (Ft. Mitchell, Ky., Villa Madonna) started in goal and got the win and the shutout with one save. Transy outshot the Eagles 10-5, including a 4-1 edge in attempts on goal.

Asbury led in corner kicks, 4-3.

Transy is back in action on Saturday, traveling to Manchester for and HCAC matchup.
